Trimming the Mangroves

This is not easy work!

I saved the toughest chore for last. The pole saw is really heavy and you have to reach way out to get most of the Mangroves. You also have to step into the brush to get to more of them.

I like to trim them in height so they don’t impede the view from the porch. I also trim them back from the dock and walkway.

It seems like they love this. We have the healthiest Mangroves. They help protect the house and they provide habitat for various forms of sea life. They are protected, so even if you wanted to get rid of them and have a beach, you cannot.

I only did the ones I could reach pretty easily this year.
